Knicks sign Svi Mykhailiuk

The New York Knicks have signed forward Svi Mykhailiuk to a one-year, partially guaranteed deal. Mykhailiuk, even in short four-year career, has been a journey man in the NBA, playing on 5 teams before New York. The signing brings in bench depth for the Knicks.

Averaging 4.9 points last year on 38.9% shooting from the field, nothing about Mykhailiuk’s stats jump off the page. He shot a lowly 30.6% overall on threes, but shot marginally better on catch-and-shoot attempts at 31.6%. Mykhailiuk had a below-average eFG% last year, coming in at 47.6% (league average was 53%).

In the past however, Mykhailiuk, has seen some recognition for his successes in the association. On the Pistons, in 2020, he was selected to be in the rising stars game. The year before he played in Toronto, Mykhailiuk averaged 10.6 points in OKC.
